Re: TJ Won't Start
If the starter is bad, you might want to spend the extra money and get a quality starter. (dealer)

Re: YJ on Tons Build Saga
2 questions..
1, how did you check tongue weight?
2, have you upgraded the receiver on your truck? The factory one is only rated for 500/5000.

Re: Evelyn Howe
Yesterday we brought Eve's Jeep from Gloucester to her Brothers house in Norfolk. He has plans to "fix it up" with her son Tim. I told him to keep us posted as there are a bunch of Baystaters that want to help with this. When I loaded it on the trailer, I noticed a couple of things right a...

Re: Smokinnnnn.........
I can't help you with a DIY smoke machine, but I do have a question.
Have you replaced the gas cap? This happened with Kellys Rubi CEL came on, pulled the code, out popped "small evap leak" replaced the original gas cap and all was good.

Re: Jeni's New Truck
FYI heres a Tundra that does 12s 1/4 mile..... http://youtu.be/GQRbARyQjnY?hd=1 That's cool!!! Can certainly appreciate what it takes to go 12.0 in a vehicle that was NEVER intended to do so. Would have been a great race between that and my old Ram. Difference being my truck was 4WD, weighed 7K, co...

Re: New gears
I have Motive Gear ring and pinions in my Scrambler. Good product. If your price includes parts for both front and rear axles it sounds pretty good. I would check on Summit Racing just to compare prices.

Re: Jeni's New Truck
So may need a ball mount this weekend. What style is best? I have always used: http://www.etrailer.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/pics/2/7/2753_tn.jpg But thinking this style might be a better option. Questioning the "adjusting part, seems like a weak link. http://www.etrailer.com/Merchant2/g...

Re: Jeni's New Truck
Doug she wants a remote starter in it now too. Let me know when she wants to do it. You an AMERICAN aint ya ? Why aint you drivin an AMERICAN truck ! FjR68 Frank, I'm pretty sure the Tundra is built in North America, with more Made in USA parts than the American trucks. If Toyota offered a 1-ton wi...

They can be found with 4:10s for a lot less than that. Probably closer to home too.

Re: Exhaust System - Muffler & Tail Pipe
Any setup that will increase flow will increase power and MPG.
I would go to Lou's Custom Exhaust (multiple locations) and have them weld up a new system with a Flowmaster muffler.

Re: Beadlocks? What you running how do you like em?
These are DIY I bought used for short $$. Holding up well, other than rock rash, but I have touch up paint. They are very heavy, and on the highway feel like they are square, although that could be the bias ply IROKS.
