Re: YJ on Tons Build Saga
Kurt, I like your idea of turning your new trailer into a toy hauler camper combo. One thing you may want to consider however is that in doing so you will have to secure your Jeep in the rear most portion of the trailer. I think that you might find the weight distribution to cause some stability con...

Re: Soft doors for YJ with a hardtop
So I found a nice set of YJ soft doors on ebay in brand new condition. They came in yesterday. I test fit them and the lower fits perfectly, latches great, seals perfectly. The upper (which is rounded in the upper rear corner like my hard-top) on the other hand is too long on the back end to close p...

Re: Soft doors for YJ with a hardtop
Kurt, I have checked out the thread. It is similar to others I have seen. Seems to involve a hard half yj door lower being paired with a soft TJ upper. Still have not seen anything about a full soft door combo

Soft doors for YJ with a hardtop
I was looking to try to adapt a soft door setup for my 94 YJ with a hard top. I have made inquiries to Bestop previously and was told their full soft doors would not fit a YJ with a hard top. I have done some research online and found some posts where people have coupled YJ hard half door lowers to ...

Re: Richie from Lynn ma.
Welcome Richie, another great run you should consider coming on is our spring trip to Rauch Creek PA, there are a lot of moderate trails which would be perfect for your rig.

Re: Jeep Camo Wraps
Paint is certainly more durable. I have done many Camo paint jobs on things from ATV's to firearms, to other sporting equiptment. using templates with shapes like leaves, branches, and grass to overlay several colors of flat earth tones will give a much better effect. You probably want to start with...

Re: What would you do?
I just got my Jeep back. My ring and pinion was smoked. One tooth on the pinion was chipped off pretty badly. Very similar to your situation Ryan. Also decided to replace the unit bearings at the same time as I was getting some significant movement out of them. I feel the most likely cause of issues...

Re: What would you do?
I am actually having a similar issue with my front diff right now. I have my guy at Pauls transmission in Hingham checking it out for me now. I also had some significant movement in my front pinion that I noticed in a post wheeling inspection I did after Raucsh. If you want to talk to my guy, Bob To...

Re: Tire balancing with a product called equal?
I have been using centramatic wheel balancers which are disks that slide over the wheel studs between the rotor/drum and the wheel. They work in much the same way with an outer ring containing a similar medium that self balances as you drive. I have been happy with them.

Re: Got Grade 8?
I can also give them high marks. I actually have been going to them to years since they were Cazaults Hardware. They were known for their great selection of bolts and fasteners. When Lowes opened up down the street from them rather than be put out of business like most mom and pop hardware stores th...
