Re: Hello from Medford MA

For our local trials here in NE do you guys feel a lift and 37s or 40s will be needed? All of that depends pretty heavily on what you want to do. I'm in a basically unlifted JKU on 35" tires, and it does a pretty good job on what I throw it at. Where it's still a DD, I don't tend to be extreme...

JKU is 185"
JT is 218"

So, almost 3' longer. (33")

If you're looking for sliders for a 4 door, I've got a pair of ACE Engineering for sale. They worked great, but I went in a different direction.

Re: CAT Back Exhaust ???

How hard was the rug pull out? Not... at least on mine it was dead simple, all the rugs were even pre-cut to go around the seatposts. It was just a matter of finishing those little cuts, and sliding the rug out. (by finishing I mean just tearing by hand, they were slash cut like 90% of the way thro...

Re: CBs

Is your antenna reaching above your roofline from there? CB is pretty sensitive to being blocked, so if you're not reaching up and over, you're missing that direction completely (which would be anything in front of your rig, I'm also guessing people in front of you couldn't hear you that well) I've ...

I was also planning on making a rope extension if I've got a solid 25-30' in there. I don't want to spend all my time tying up shackles ;)

Soft Shackles?

Anyone played around with these? softshackle.jpg Getting ready to replace my winch rope, and thinking about tying a few from the good sections of old rope to keep kicking around in the Jeep. Seem like they'd be handy to have on strap joins and whatnot. Any opinions either way? I'll probably end up t...

Re: has anyone dropped a lunchbox locker in a JKU?

Well, on the plus side, if it doesn't work, you'll know the minute you take your first turn... it's not like you'll get very far ;)
Personally, for the rear, I'd save up and get something selectable. Less (possible) computer issues, and no unexpected behavior on the streets.

Re: has anyone dropped a lunchbox locker in a JKU?

I put an aussie in the front of my brother's '10. It drove fine, just a little hairy in the snow (in 4wd) and the constant clicking (around corners) Quick job, easy enough to do, and later undo if you don't care for it. TMK he never had any issues with ABS (but again, that was front, not rear) EDIT:...

Re: Clunking noise while coasting in 4-hi?

No lockers at this time. I had to draw the line somewhere and have something to look forward to next season. Draw the line elsewhere, you will pay more to wait. All the same stuff has to be done again to get lockers in Exactly this. You're going to be double paying for everything except the gears (...
