Re: Poison spyder evap skid
I'd very much prefer a T&T Customs Evap skid and relocation kit. It is about the same price, but it moves it up and out of the way AND armors it. It's nice to armor it and shape the skid like a ramp, but better to move it so you don't get hung up on the skid at all. In New England, we have stick...

Everything points to a vacuum leak at the intake, yes.

Re: Misfire and code P-0352
Honestly, at that point I would turn it over to the tech I work with and ask him to diagnose it further with his fancy-schmancy diagnostic tools and Jeep dealer experience to eliminate me guessing at what parts to buy. I've seen misfires caused by both fuel and ignition parts failures. As far as par...

WHAT have I done now?!
 I picked up a 96 XJ Cherokee Country yesterday. 147k miles. 4.0L auto. D30 and 8.25, no ABS. Black, unlike my coffee. It's rusted in all the places I'll cut off during the build anyway and part of the floor is a little too soft. I have always wanted a Country edition. This has all the power ...

Re: Misfire and code P-0352
The 2nd coild/plug is usually right between the first and third.
If it is any easier, start at 6 and work your way towards 1.
[/snarkism]
Yes, 2nd from front.

Re: Electric Fan Conversion
The control I bought controls when the fan turns on only . Ive dialed it in to turn on at 190 F. It runs way to long after you shut off the engine . At least it seams to maintain a good temp , but once its on and the engine is running , driving even on the street , it will not stop till you stop th...

Re: Big Tires
My previous Cherokee came with a name when I bought. And her name was Lucy. Lucy lives on in a member's relative's Cherokee, with her engine. In fact, she was almost totally recycled into other Jeeps. All I scrapped was the stripped carcass. My Lucy was a demon, and I felt the need to scatter the pa...

We sell AEV Pro-Cal Modules at Elias 4wd Center. Installation and programming is SUPER easy. I ship, too. The Pro-Cal can be used again and again everytime you do something to change tire sizes, gear ratios, etc. It also has a lot of other functions, like resetting low tire pressure parameters, tra...

Re: Newbie in the house
You're doing fine. Building your Jeep to suit your needs. I like to see noobies build slow. Learn how to drive it off road and work with what you have. When you're ready for more, you build more. I've seen a lot of people go too far too fast and end up in a Jeep capable of getting them in way over t...

Re: Tires
Your stock tires... P225/75R16 P = Passenger car tire construction. 225 = width, in millimeters 75 = The aspect ratio. (75% of the tires width is the side wall height.) R = Radial Construction 16 = Rim size. Most tire companies mark the tire size based on their mold, not the product. So sizes do var...

Re: Need new, sell old: Please Help
I hear a lot of good feedback for selling it outright to carmax. I did it with a 2002 Blazer with low miles and got more than I was asking for it on Craiglist. I also e-mailed them with pics of my wife's ZJ we've had for four years and their offer was a thousand bucks more than I paid for it at a us...

Re: 99 xj rear leaf packs to s10 pack
MUCH better bastard leaf packs are from a 4x4 Dodge Dakota. You simply redrill the spring plates from the XJ so everything lines up. However, this seems like a lot of work and a waste of your time. BDS springs and shackles are much better than used S-10 springs. Military spring wrap, the correct spr...

Re: Gecko hello
I think you'll have better luck with an AEV Pro-Cal at $160-$170 than with a Superchips Flashpaq for 2 or 3 times the amount, depending on the model you get and the model of Jeep you have. We always have these in stock at Elais 4wd Center. We also sell the SC FLSHPQ but our customers are NOT happy w...
