Re: synthetic winch line question?
I bought mine from Amazon - 85', 12 strand, 25k break point. $100. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FC8ZG2N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I had been looking at similar listings on Amazon, but was a little nervous about the super low price... how has this held up? The rat...

Re: Air comp. upgrade
Yes. Perfect size for the pump, hose and nozzle. Only downside is having to move stuff to get to it, but it's not a big issue. My tank is built into the storage box just behind the hatch.

Re: Air comp. upgrade
Marky . I usually turn the comp on on the way out / off the trail so its full when your ready to do bidness . FjR68 Makes sense. My setup requires me to intentionally connect the tank to the pump, there's not enough advantage for me to change that. If I had installed it differently, I would conside...

Re: Air comp. upgrade
If the tank is already full, that makes a difference. Also, the volume of a 5 gallon will help as well (again, since it's already full.) For me, it starts empty so I'm really just pushing air through a big tank rather than a skinny hose so I have to fill the volume of the tire plus the tank to press...

Re: Air comp. upgrade
have you considered hard wiring your VAIAR to fill a hard-mounted portable tank and filling the tires form the tank while the pump is running? that is somewhat the plan I have. JP magazine did a write up with another pump and an affordable 5-gallon tank from Harbor Freight... considerably cheaper t...

Re: Handheld 2-ways
I don't know if this is 100% accurate but as I understand it there were some changes made to the "new post-ban" Baofeng radios. I was told the new ones do not have the "illegal frequencies" available and are a lower power output. Barrett fab still has some of the original style ...

Re: Handheld 2-ways
...and also make yourself familiar with FCC laws. It is easy to break those laws with this radio. Make sure you are at least in compliance with power settings (keep it on low) and consider getting a license to operate it. The fact that it is capable of transmitting on regulated frequencies at power ...

Re: Handheld 2-ways
I think the problem is that a "channel" is a specific frequency which is not a regulated thing that everyone necessarily agrees on. Channel 1 on one brand's radio might not be on exactly the same frequency as channel 1 on another brand's radio. It's not like CB. For the most part, they can...

How do I turn the threaded rod? Should I weld the nut to it first? Isn't that basically a bolt?Car Jack wrote:How about put in a piece of threaded rod, then a nut on the end of the rod. Bam!
Besides, it's in now!

Noice ! They have a fill and a spill hole . Awesome , someone was thinkin . FjT68 Except don't make the mistake I did once... I jacked up the Jeep to make it easier to work on and filled it while jacked up. Once lowered, the actual level was higher than the hole. Had a little extra come out the end...

Re: Diff Cover Bolt Opinions
Thank you, Mark. Raising the body moved it out of the way so I could slip it right in.
If anyone wants the old ones - $50 obo takes them both. I can post a pic if interested. They look like this (but not nearly as shiny)
