I bought rocker guards from AtoZ Fabrication over a decade ago. During the recent rust repair on my heep I had to remove the rocker guards by drilling out the fasteners. I’ve had the pulley shift slightly on the mount (1/8” or so) which caused a slight misalignment of the pulleys... causing a squeak. Thanks everyone. I was thinking about piecing together the repair with sheet metal but the replacement torque boxes will certainly be simpler.

What’s everyone’s preferred rust converter/primer/paint?

Finally took off the rocker guards after 13 years... yikes!

What steel is recommended for repairing body panels? 16 gauge? What type? There’s quite a bit of welding in my future...

So I have to retract my blame for Optima. It ended up that a relay corroded (thought they were sealed!) which kept a large solenoid powered up continuously. This ended up being the drain which would kill the battery in a couple days. Since I found it and fixed it the battery has started the Jeep fin...

Finally got the front axle truss welded back on and the axle back in! Now to try and get it inspected before the end of the month...

Finally got around to one of my winter projects repairing the front truss which broke off completely. Flipped it over to weld in a plate to brace the corners and look what I found... another sh1tty weld from Mitchell. (FYI outer surface was already ground down flat by me prepping for the plate). 25%...

How long have you had the dual battery setup? Is it too soon to get a new setup that is more universal for battery replacement? I've had it for probably close to ten years.
