Re: Inspection Stations
I think this year there is some leeway in some shops but I'm thinking that may be gone next year. I took Melinda's in to the dealer today to have my old 32's installed and the computer updated and got a warning. I ended up talking to the service manager for awhile on the inspections and his take was...

Re: Skid plates and diff covers
I did some skids last year, Diffs, control arms, oil pan. I thought I had done the engine, but I hadn't and went for the lift, etc. I have the Rough country fuel skid sitting in the shed and I just ordered the JCR Engine Skid due this week. Hoping I can get into a shop or dealer to have them installe...

Good Mechanic near Canton
Any recommendations for a trusted mechanic near Canton? One of my co-workers has a Grand Cherokee in need of brakes, but doesn't want the dealer or dealer parts, wants something that will last.
Thanks

Re: Carrier and lockers
I've learned planning is the key and some time on the trails. I have done mine in phases, started with the lift then did 35's, regeared and trussed my Dana 30. Now I'm looking to add lockers this year. I was going to pull the trigger, but Scott needs the jeep for 7-10 days which is a long time with ...

Re: New member from Newton (waitlist)
Welcome! I still love the mud! The entire offices judges my weekend based on what DaThug looks like when they come in Monday mornings. Dealership around here does detailing all in for $149 I told her I was going to test them out one day to see if they really do it for that cost ;o) Hope to see ya on...

Re: E-Locker Questions
I wouldn't be re-gearing. I did that last summer when I went to 35's.

E-Locker Questions
I’m starting to look at E-lockers and had some questions to get started. • What locker configuration do most go with? Front and Rear? Or just one locker in front or rear? • I have the Dana 44 rear and Dana 30 front (welded truss reinforced). Can I do a locker on the Dana 30? • Any preferred brands o...

Re: Rocker switch question
I started planning future growth for switches and looking at the options that will accommodate going forward. I've found 3 potentials looking at different forums to see what others have done and curious if anyone here has these switches. Apollotech: https://www.amazon.com/Apollointech-Wrangler-2009-...

Rocker switch question
I got KC lights for Christmas and they came with a small round red rocker switch. I've been looking for a switch that would fit the stock panel but all I really see is the oval rocker switches. Do most folks add a separate switch panel for external lights, etc? This is probably a dumb question, I ju...

Re: Smaller upgrades
the stock fuel is pretty thin, when I had her lifted that was the first thing Scott said.. I should replace the fuel skid as its pretty dinged up. I have many other skids as I did those before lifting.

Smaller upgrades
There is always a lot to do on the Jeep. I'm curious as to some smaller upgrades or modifications that you have done or recommend.
One I have talked to a couple people about is the air intake replacement. Steering stabilizers? One of the next items I need is a fuel tank skid.

Phase II - Completed
Just picked up Da Thug from Scott's where he wrapped up phase II of the build. She got a truss on the front axle, 456's and 35's. Oh and we needed a supercal to reprogram the computer. Of course I get her back today and I leave for the West Coast Sunday morning for work. I won't get to drive until n...

Re: Inspection Stations
I was talking with Scott yesterday and he said they are hearing that the state is going to start cracking down this fall. I started looking at the registry and vehicle inspection info on the state site and have not yet stumbled onto anything where you can get any paperwork for off road customization...
