Re: Need a new front DS!

Jim, we're local and donate to the club every year. Tom Wood builds and ships in 24 hours, we'd have to order it for you if you chose to buy it from us. The Rubicon shaft is $349. We can cover the shipping. Amanda's worn out shaft is actually a factory Jeep shaft, shown here: http://i1278.photobucke...

Re: U-bolts

ArtiRubi! I do NOT have your phone number here to call you back, or your e-mail. I do have a question about your set up. Let's verify, first, your springs are 2.5" wide. Second, your 8.8 axle, because they do come with different size tubes. Yours is a 3.25" outside diameter from an Explode...

Re: U-bolts

As of now, these are the only ones I can find, too. U-bolts are typically $12 ea, so the kit will come with 4. These are 9/16" u-bolts, so cost goes up there. There's 25% of what you're paying for. Lower skids included, are engineered to slide over stuff and lock your u-bolts in place. Here's t...

Re:

I would expect fuel pump/tank sorting out to complete the engine swap. Check for fuel tank capacity. 20 gallon tanks vary from assembly plant locations on SOME YJs. This leads to different fuel pumps (and more) on about 5% of them in the US. Having assembled mix n match brand new fuel systems as we'...

Re: Qudratec Soft Top

We have been having excellent success with the tops we sell. These are Rampage tops, marketed as Rough Trail by Crown. (Although being relabeled again as RT Off-Road). Only some of Bestop's product is made in Mexico. That is where they moved operations. Fullfilment (warehouse) is in Colorado with cu...

Re: TJ steering a lil funky

That is the drag link, and the (bottom photo) shows the grey track bar. The track bar could have a worn or funky bushing on either end. The drag link could be the culprit, though, it does look a bit like death.

Re:

27 spline 8.25 - not so much. If it were a 29 spline, I'd say go for it and would back it up with more pluses, like - KJ/ZK bolt on rear disc brakes. Lunch box lockers are budget friendly. Strong housing/tubes (better than a stock 8.8 housing for off road) No need to swap carriers for different rati...

Re: Smittybilt XRC Bumpah

UPDATE - I sent Mike Perez at Smittybilt everything he asked for. Twice. I sent pics showing the cracks and I sent a PDF that had my original purchase from AutoAnything (and a BIG thank you to AutoAnything for getting that to me before I even hung up the phone!) After not hearing back from Mike Per...
