Re: Locker install

Ive run Loc-Rite auto lockers for 11/12 yrs with no problems. Even on the road they were never that bad. There were a lot of times on a trail I would like to have been able to shut off the front to help with turn radius. So I twin sticked the T-Case instead. A good auto locker in the rear and the De...

Re: Second Mod

Without getting hurt , you learned the number one rule. " Never wheel Alone" Yes they call them 4 wheel drive , but you now know they lied. So being that you know what should be a next mod , you found another one . LOCKERS ! Yes the list goes on n on. Are we havin fun yet FjR68

Re: First mod

Steel would be my pick . Aluminum is lighter but it dont slide as well as steel. More important , if you have to press steel back into shape , it will take it. Aluminum will probably break. Nothing less than 3/16ths for me , go .25" when you can FjR68

Re: 2021 JLUR 392 - Who's in?

Several folks have said it , you dont need a V-8 in the woods . When you put the right gear ratio for the size tire and a little bit more than stock . You have all you need. I dont know if even the buggies need a V-8 to wheel well. I know a guy still runnin I think the stock form of his 4.0 on tons ...

Re: to air down or not to air down?

Nicely written . I hear so many people only airing down to say 14 or 20 psi. I dont have bead locks !!!!! number one answer. A stock tire is usually 2/3" wider than the rim. So you went and bought 10.5s or 12.5s on the same rim or new ones. It helps hold the tire on the bead when aired down bec...

Re: 4" Lift Kit for my JKU Sport

Dude ! I so love the color. One suggestion . Buy and old boat trailer hand winch. Mount it to the back wall . Up through a pulley to 4 smaller pulleys. $ different length of rope , plastic coated wire and J hooks. it will lift your top up to the ceiling , be out of the way and its a one man job. Hav...

Re: 4" Lift Kit for my JKU Sport

I was never that lucky to have a newer Jeep. Parts in my era where this and that so I really had to make my own . I was real lucky to have kids that could understand geometry . The rear 4 link was built one time and it worked because of them. I have heard nothing good about buying pieces from a cata...
