Re: ADD and me
Keep your eye out for a pair of used D30 axle shaft assemblies to carry as spares. yeah..... funny story on that..... I had a pair of spare axles and last week before the run I took out the old u-joints and when I was pressing in a new one I found out one of the ears was oval shaped. So I ditched t...

ADD and me
So I finally got around to pulling the axle on my trail beast to replace that u-joint that lost its cap after the GG run. About 45 minutes into it (translation: it took me 45 minutes to pull the axle, remove and replace the u-joint) I realized I was using all my trail tools and I could have done thi...

Re: Baystate "snow run" 3/6/10 pictures
Jeff kind of summed it up, it was overall a great day, with a few setbacks thrown in but we all ended up OK. Until we left. :( Paul was driving my XJ and pulled over when he heard some noises. Turned out those noises were a missing cap on a wheel u-joint that was replaced last week. Not sure how it ...

Re: Transmission issue...
all this talk made me go out and buy a new filter and fluids for my AW4! And while my XJ is up in the air, may as well drain and fill the t-case and front and rear diffs, get her ready for some trails

Metallurgical madness
My aluminum valve caps decided to weld themselves to my valve stems. Found this out on the NEA snow run, I could only air down 3 tires. 3 covers were only stuck, came off after some persuasion. The 4th cover assimilated my valve stem. They are one now. Bottom line, is there a quick and dirty way to ...

Re: Paul's 91XJ build!
Paul, you can throw those doors in my garage if you need to. I'm sure that I can carve out a couple of square feet for you. or Eve should have some room in her kitchen now ;) my only concern about the Spartan would be taking it out if there's a problem. That spring design makes it easier to install...

Re: Paul's 91XJ build!
Ordered the stage 2 bumper tonight. It'll probably end up being the nicest piece on the junkpile. that's some nice hardware!! Next (and last for the winter) on the list is to lock the front with a lunchbox locker. Anyone have knowledge of the Spartan Locker ? I read in JP magazine that it was a pre...

HF Portable oxy-acetylene rig
Saw this on the HF sight http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=65818 Thought it might be good to add to the tool shed. Lists for $300 but HF is always throwing out a X% off coupon. Anyone have this setup? I'm thinking it might be good for the light stuff I'd like to do... ...

You're locked and loaded now Eve! 8-) And speaking of 'thank you', thanks to Wesley for thinking of his BSJ brothas and sistas, when he lined up the welding seminar.
