Is the 0331 head issue as big of a deal as some people make it seem on the other main Jeep forums?

Considering a 2001 XJ and was wondering if I should go for it as it is very reasonably priced but don't want to get into something that's going to be a ticking time bomb.

Anyone here have input?

I wouldn't mind investing in smaller tires for inspection only and possibly some bushwacker flares to cover the tires as the XJ I am looking at has cut and folded fenders so I would probably get them either way.
